LIGHTHOUSE FOOD BANK DONATIONS: All donations are
gratefully received but if you are wondering what to donate, there is still a
shortage of breakfast type foods at the food bank. Donations of peanut butter
or juices (apple and orange) would be very welcome.
MUSICAL FRIENDS - 2:00 - 3:15 pm, 3:15 - 4:00 Musical
Band, 4:00-4:30 pm Tuneful Tots on Monday, 4 May in Tuck Hall.
BIBLE TALK - will be changing to 10:30-11:30
am from Wednesday, May 6 but will still be held in the Tyler Grant
Room. All welcome.
S.C.A.N.S. - Microbiology - 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Wednesday, May
6 in Tuck Hall.
S.C.A.N.S. - ‘The Rector’s Wife’ - 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Friday,
May 8 in Tuck Hall.
ST. STEPHEN’S MEN’S CHOIR PRACTICE - will be held on
TUESDAY, 5th May at 7:00 pm in St. Stephen’s Church for the Mother’s Day Service
on 10th May. All welcome, no experience necessary. Practices end in time to
catch the nightly play offs.
SHOREHAM VILLAGE: Feeding with Sensitivity Training - for
people who want to help the elderly eat well will be offered on Thursday, 7 May
from 1:00-3:00 pm in the OT Room at Shoreham Village. For information please

MUSICAL FRIENDS FUNDRAISER - Donations of baked goods are
requested for a bake sale to be held at CAMS Friday, May 8 to raise funds for
the programme. . For more information, or to arrange delivery, please call
Heather Mills at 902-275-3118.
RELAY FOR LIFE - Registrations are being taken for teams
and volunteers for the 10th Chester Municipal Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay
for Life to be held from 6:00pm to midnight on June 19 at Chester Area Middle
School. (CAMS). Orders are also being taken for luminary candles ($5.00 each).

attend the relay are asked to call Gerri Allen 275-3817 to register.

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHTS
Jesus is “the true vine.” Branches wanting to produce fruit need to stay
firmly attached to him. The faithful steward produces much fruit by remaining

Nepal Earthquake Response
PWRDF has announced an initial grant of $20,000 in relief funds for Nepal
and is responding through the ACT Alliance. Dan Church Aid (DCA) along with
other members of the Alliance, is working to distribute food, water, shelter
materials, medicine and more to those affected by the 7.9 magnitude
earthquake.
The Canadian government has announced a matching grant program for
donations to relief work in the wake of the Nepal earthquake. All donations to
PWRDF between April 25 and May 25, 2015 for the Nepal earthquake relief efforts
will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the Government of Canada into their Nepal
Earthquake Relief Fund, which will be used to provide humanitarian relief in the
wake of this catastrophe
