FYI – GALILEO BAROQUE CHOIR
Galileo Baroque Choir, a new ensemble founded
by early music specialist Andrew Pickett,
will perform works by seven different members
of the Bach musical family in their début programme,
“Seven Bachs,” on Sunday, November 18.
The chamber choir is made up of some of Halifax’s
finest choral musicians, and will also feature guest artists
Garth MacPhee, continuo organ, and Hilary Brown, cello.
Concert will take place on Sunday, November 18
at 7:30 pm, at First Baptist Church, 1300 Oxford St, Halifax.
Admission is $20 ($10 students) at the door.
The audience is invited to join the choir for
a small reception after the concert.

PLUM PUDDINGS 2018
Please
save some time on 16 – 18 Nov
for
Plum Pudding Assembly.
We need help for:
Thursday
pm
pre-measure
ingredients and set up for production.
Friday
prepare tins, mix batter cook puddings in private homes,
transport
puddings and clean up.
Saturday
remove
puddings from tins, wrap puddings,
curl
ribbons, store and clean up.
There is a job for
everyone, young and old,
men
and women.
Your
help is crucial to the success of this project.

ST.
STEPHEN’S ANNUAL BAZAAR
hosted
by St. Stephen’s Hospitality Committee
will
take place 10:30 am – 1:30 pm, Saturday, 24 Nov.
in St. Stephen’s Parish Centre. Lunch 11-1 pm.
Homemade soups, rolls/bread, pies, coffee,
tea.
Adults
$8, children under 10 $4.
Christmas
wreaths, Christmas Puddings,
new
and used Christmas decorations,
bake
table, books and more.
Please
drop off all donations
before
23 November.

ANNUAL SHOEBOX CAMPAIGN
In
2017, staff and volunteers gave out 1464 shoebox
gifts to the seafarers visiting the Port of Halifax
during
the
month of December.
What a truly heart warming experience this is for
all!
St. Stephen’s Parish
sent 30 shoeboxes to the campaign.
Items for shoeboxes include:
HAT, SCARF, GLOVES OR MITTS, SOCKS,
WRAPPED HARD CANDY (NO CHOCOLATE),
SOAP, TOOTHPASTE, TOOTHBRUSH,
SHAMPOO, SHAVING FOAM, RAZORS, DEODORANT,
LIP BALM, PLAYING CARDS, MEMENTO OF NOVA SCOTIA,
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND OR CANADA
If it’s easier for you to just
put 6 pairs of socks,
or hats or mittens in a box,
that’s great too!
There should not be any liquor, sharp objects,
chocolate or flammables
enclosed.
We thank everyone who supports
this campaign!
Boxes should be delivered by 30
November.
