For
our Lenten Quiet Morning, we will continue our participation in the “Heartbeat
of the Church”. This is a program designed by The Anglican Church of Canada, in
advance of our national General Synod. From the website: “the Primate is calling
all of us – coast to coast – to come together, form Conversation Circles, and
join in 10 months of dialogue, prayer and reflection. What is the heartbeat of
the church? Are we in sync with the gospel we are called to embody? In what do
we rejoice? Over what must we repent? To what should we aspire?” Most of the
morning will be spent in small group conversation and reflection, concluding
with the Holy Eucharist. If you took part in this program over Advent, you are
welcome and encouraged to attend again, as you may be talking through it with
others, giving new perspectives. Towards the end, the small groups will each
compose a prayer for the Church. All are welcome.
