Our church needs our participation on
Saturday, September 28, starting at 8AM in Tuck Hall. We will build
our Narrative Budget to tell ourselves, and others, about the church we are and
the church we want to be in the coming year. This time is our chance to begin
stewarding our church and preparing it for the challenges confronting all
churches. Please come and bring someone
with you. Refreshments and nourishment will be provided.
St. Stephen's will be participating in
an interdenominational Alpha Program.
*NOTE New start date Wednesday
September 25th 6:30- 8:30pm (supper provided) at the Chester
United Baptist Church.
QUESTIONS OF LIFE AND
FAITH
Great News!
Five
area churches have joined together to run Alpha,
starting mid-September.
Alpha creates a space where people are
excited to bring their friends for a conversation about faith, life and God.
Starting
on Wednesday, 25th September at Chester Baptist Church, and running over 10
weeks at various local churches (including St.
Stephen’s), Alpha allows anyone to explore life, faith and God in a friendly,
open and informal environment.
In
each session there’s food, a short video talk, and discussion in small groups.
How you can take part: Alpha has consistently proven to be an effective way to introduce people to a lasting
faith in Christ. You can take part
three ways:
1) Pray for five people you know to be open to attend Alpha. And invite them to join you each week.
2) Go deeper in your own faith journey. Join in the weekly conversations
as we explore the questions of life and faith.
3) Help prepare food for the two evenings our church is
hosting the group.
Questions about Alpha? Speak with the Rector.
