PARISH PLUM PUDDINGS FOR SALE! - Once again a group of our dedicated parishioners have prepared fantastic plum puddings.  Now we need you to buy some for yourself and as great  holiday gifts.  Tell your  friends and family too!  Sign the customer sheet in the church or Parish Centre, or call the Parish Office at 902-275-3804.
  
HOPE  BEAR FROM THE ANGLICAN FOUNDATION - this teddy bear is dressed for Christmas and will make a perfect gift for a child you love at Christmas.  Your purchase also helps the  KIDS HELPING KIDS FUND.  This fund provides: palliative care for children, breakfast programs, after-school homework clubs, and choir school and summer camp.  Help give children a future they deserve with your $20 purchase of the HOPE BEAR.  Order at sssorenson@anglicanfoundation.org or call 416-924-9199.  The foundation assures us that your orders will be processed quickly, and that you will receive any bears ordered in good time for Christmas.

MUSIQUE ROYALE presents “A King’s Christmas: A Feast of Seasonal Song and Story” on Sat., Dec. 13th, 4 pm, St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg.  Features the King’s College Chapel Choir.  Tickets are $25 ($20 advance until Dec. 6th) and$10 students, children under 12 free.  Call 902-634-9994 to reserve or purchase at Lunenburg’s Shop on the Corner to purchase.

CHRISTMAS TREE SALES & ACTIVITIES - Buy your family’s freshly cut 7 ft. tree ($20) and enjoy the activities on Dec. 5th, 4 - 6:30 pm and Dec. 6th, from 11 am - 6:30 pm at the East River Village Hall. On Friday, Dec. 5th there will be tree sales and  Hot Chocolate from 4 - 6:30 pm with caroling and, Tree Lighting at 6:30 pm.  On Saturday come enjoy the Children’s Christmas Crafts, Cookie Decorating, Christmas Music, Hot Chocolate and Tree Sales..  To pre-order your tree please call 275-5720.

ST. GEORGE’S LOBSTER SUPPER AND CHRISTMAS VARIETY SHOW -   will take place on Sunday, December 14th: supper 4 - 6:30 and the Variety Show from 6:30 - 8:30 pm ($5, tickets at the door).  Supper is a 1 lb lobster with salads, roll and dessert ($15).  Also available Turkey Salad Plate ($9) and a Child’s Salad Plate ($4).  Supper tickets must be pre-ordered by December 13th.  Call Sheila Hurtle, 275-5720; Vicky Young, 275-4219; Eugene and Grace Cook, 857-3585.  A Bake Table will also be featured to help with your Christmas baking!
DIOCESAN YOUTH AND FAMILY MINISTRY COORDINATOR POSITION - the Diocese of NS and PEI needs your support to fund this important program with your tax deductible gift.  There are brochures at the back of the Church with more details on this Anglican Diocese initiative.

SOUTH SHORE PLAYERS’ CHRISTMAS PLAY - The Wizard of Oz will be performed by the South Shore Players at the Pearl Theater, Bridgewater, on Nov. 28th & 29th , Dec. 5th & 6th, at 7 pm.  Two matinee performances will be held on Saturday Dec. 13th  and Sunday Dec. 14th at 2 pm.  Tickets $20 adults, $12 children–available at www.southshoreplayers.com.  For more information please call 902-531-2258.

FOOD BANK CHRISTMAS HAMPERS - For St. Stephen’s contribution to the Food Bank Christmas hampers’ collection please bring stuffing and cranberry sauce to next week’s Church Services. 

MISSIONS TO SEAFARERS SHOEBOX PROJECT– This Anglican Church Mission serves many men and women who arrive in our province during winter ill equipped to survive in the cold and with no money.  This is likely the only gift these folks will receive.  In the Church Vestibule you will find a list of needed items which you can take home as a checklist.  Please don’t wrap your shoe box-– just tie with string or ribbon so the boxes can be checked for security reasons

FOOD BANK TURKEYS - if you have Foodland Turkey Bucks that you are not using, please donate to the Food Bank so they may purchase turkeys for the Christmas food hampers (place in collection plates).

CHRISTMAS PERSONAL CARE GIFT BAGS - The Pastoral Care/Outreach Committee wants to place personal care gift bags in the Christmas Hampers of people who need to use the food bank at this special time of year in our Christian Calender.  We have placed lists of suggested items with bags at the back of the Church.
